In this presentation, we briefly overview how the standard phrase-based statistical machine translation approach has been enhanced by tackling morphological, syntactic, and semantic linguistic levels of the pair of languages involved. We focus on introducing morphology by automatic post-edition of the translation output and semantics using vector-space models.
